Rare Japan Bandai Chogokin GD-42 DX Senpuujin Power Rangers Megazord
I was cleaning out stuff and found this buried under some other stuff. I had to look this up on the internet to figure out what it is.This is by Bandai of Japan, part of their Chogokin Super Sentai series of toys, designated GD-42. Toy was issued in Japan in 2002. It is a DX Ninpuu Gattai Senpuujin, consisting of various mecha that combine to form a larger robot. And yes, the Americanized Power Rangers series is based off the Japanese super sentai series. This came from the Japan Hurricanger series, which became Power Rangers Ninja Storm in the US. And this is the megazord toy. What's the difference between the US and Japan toys? The US versions were made cheaply (including vinyl parts) while the Japan versions have some diecast metal parts and better machined plastic and overall better construction and are overall pretty awesome.
The toy looks complete. I'm looking at the first page of the instructions that has all the parts shown and they are all accounted for. Looks like not many parts were taken out of the plastic bags. Condition is excellent. The outside of the box has obvious wear, especially on the edges. There is also a tear on the front and a small 1/4" hole on the top. Please view the pictures.
If you look on the internet, this toy sells for about $300+. I have included a screenshot of a brand new one selling for over a $1000 on eBay!
Item comes as pictured and as is. Please ask questions if you are not sure. Asking for $250 for this
toy. Great for any Power Rangers/Super Sentai collection or for any serious Japan toy or robot collector..
