We are an established amateur band in East Oahu. We play for fun, not for the money since most of us are retired. We gig about five or six times a year for parties and we practice/rehearse two or three times a month at homes in Hawaii Kai.
We play covers of R&R, R&B, and Pop tunes from the 1950's to the present. Everybody gets to bring in songs to play/sing.
We have three guys on guitar who also rotate onto bass, two of which also sing. We have a harp (harmonica) player who also sings and plays rhythm guitar. We have a gal on keyboard and two other gals who sing lead/backup as well as play percussion. We have our own PA system.
Availability, reliability, and an enthusiastic attitude are more important to us than outstanding musicianship.
