We are looking for an aspiring Carpenter/Helper to join our team as an Entry - Intermediate Level Carpenter. We provide you with the necessary technical skills to launch a rewarding career. While you do not need prior experience, you must have some training with power and hand tools. You will work under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter, assisting them in their duties while you train and gain a better understanding of your trade. You need communication skills to coordinate with other workers, and trades.
Duties:
- Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures
- Perform wood/metal stud framing, ensuring all measurements are accurate and plumb
- Assist with construction painting, including preparation and application of paint
- Caulk and seal joints in structures to prevent water damage
- Install siding and roofing materials according to specifications
- Assist in remodeling projects, including demolition and reconstruction
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed
- Fabricate and install various components as directed by the immediate supervisor(s)
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Qualifications but not required:
- 1-3 years carpentry, construction experience
- High School diploma
Operation hours:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
*Occasionally on the weekends when required.
