We are looking to hire an Assistant Chief Engineer for a commercial building located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise—particularly in HVAC systems, including chillers and cooling towers, along with knowledge of HVAC-Energy Management Systems (EMS)—with leadership experience. Essential hands-on maintenance experience should cover troubleshooting, project management, and basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and painting/drywall. As the Assistant Chief Engineer, you will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the building's systems while fostering a safe and efficient environment for customers. We seek someone who is highly organized, capable of multitasking, and possesses excellent administrative skills. The candidate should be adept at managing workers and project scheduling and must have strong communication abilities, paired with a talent for interacting effectively with customers. All candidates must successfully complete an HBM prescreen check, have a valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle. We are an equal opportunity employer.

-Schedule: Monday - Friday: Variable hours (Must be available on weekends and holidays; subject to meetings and events)

-Compensation: $80,000 - $81,000 annual salary
