JOB DESCRIPTION
We are an optometric practice with two offices located in Kahala and Kaneohe seeking an Optometric Technician for a part-time or full-time position. Our offices are located inside of LENSCRAFTERS.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Walk patients through Pre-testing with accuracy and takes detailed medical notes for the doctors
• Patiently explain all test and answers any questions the patient may have before the examination
• Look up and verify patient eligibility for various insurances and assist in the billing process including filing claims and collecting copays
• Enter all patient data in to our system accurately
• Answer phones and make appointments for patients
• Communicate effectively with patients and other staff members while maintaining the highest level of professionalism
• Consistently shows up for work and punctual
• Place contact lens orders and checks them in for patients
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
Drivers License and willing to commute to both offices located in Kahala and Kaneohe
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Flexible with work schedule which may change certain weeks
