JOB TITLE: Operations Manager

SUMMARY: Responsible for leading and directing the daily operations of our Manufacturing Unit including Baking, Packing, Warehouse, Delivery, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Order Fulfillment Departments. The role works closely with the Senior Director of Operations to execute business process and strategy, while at the same time developing staff.

Will include but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure safety protocols, policies and practices established by the company and government regulations are always followed by all staff – Identifying, assessing, and addressing any immediate safety issues
• Provide specific, timely, respectful coaching and feedback to staff to ensure operational excellence and improve individual performance
• Coach, train, and develop the department managers and supervisors to perform at their highest level
• Develop positive professional working relationships with the team that are in line with company values and mission – acting with integrity, honesty & knowledge that promote the culture and vision of the company
• Empower teams to communicate and collaboratively develop alternative and achievable plans to maximize productivity, sustain quality, minimize risk, and effectively respond to fluctuations in demand
• Measure and track individual personnel performance to identify areas of opportunity and success factors that will improve the overall organization’s performance
• Maintain healthy and motivated teams across each level of management
• Work closely with the Senior Director of Operations to:
o Ensure that manufacturing operations provides the highest level of service to our Profit Centers (Retail, Wholesale, Ecommerce, Corporate…etc.)
o Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout and operational data (production cost, process flow chart, labor hours and schedules) to determine efficient utilization of teams and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize schedules misses
o Oversee production methods through utilization of lean and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce non-value added processes and manufacturing overhead
• Work with department Managers to:
o Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
o Identify root causes to issues and communicate potential solutions with supporting data
o Ensure adherence to SOPs and processes related to inventory control and management
• Work closely with Finance & Product Marketing Departments to ensure accurate real-time inventory management
• Work closely with Quality Assurance Department to ensure that the highest quality control standards are practiced in order to produce our world-class products
• Determine the training and staffing needs of the department, adjust workflow, and rearrange tasks to improve efficiency and quality
• Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime
• Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• 7+ years of related experience with management experience
• A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
• Experience with Sage Manufacturing ERP systems a plus
• Experience working in the Food Manufacturing Industry a plus
• Experience in logistics, warehousing and transportation a plus

• Strong ability to demonstrate leadership internally and externally
• Strong management, follow‐through, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to think strategically with understanding of the “big picture”
• Ability to analyze data sets to support decision making
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communications skills
• Organized and process oriented with the ability to also think critically and problem solve
• Strong training, development, and relationship building skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
• Critical thinking and decision-making ability

• Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
• Stand and/or walk on factory floor for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
