Truly a Wolf in sheep's cloathing sailboat. Great family friendly & accomplished racer. These eXpress' are ultralight as well as ultra tough! Terrific for sailing in the bay with non-sailors and completely at home sailing from the coast to Hawaii or around all of our islands. Designed by the genius Carl Schumacher & built by Alsberg Brothers Boatworks from 1982-88 with117 built. Construction : vacuum bag molding Vynalester S-glass with balsa core. Again light and strong top of the line and very expensive at that time. She displaces only 2,450lbs.
The Cabin Top & Side Decks are laid out for function and ease with reachable controls short handed or fully crewed
sailing. This is the Fractional (preferred) mast rigging e27. She comes with a host of family day sailing sails and hardcore racing suit including some carbon. Roller Furling Dacron jib is on deck now along with Dacron Main.
Below decks you will find a surprising roomy cabin. Forepeak has large V berth double. Main saloon has handsome bench seating port & starboard, small undeveloped galley area across from nav table. Aft each side are two new single pipe berths.
