The Kalik 40 was designed by Gary Mull and has a fin keel and spade rudder , She is fast, agile and easy to sail.. Designed for coastal cruising the Kalik 40 is also capable of going offshore. The boat is nicely laid out for 2-4 people and offers great storage below decks. Currently the wife and I are trying to sell it before October of 2021.
Currently several projects are being done on the boat by my wife and I, but we will be sure to have the Allure ready for you by the time you buy.
Some things we have already done are replacing the old 6v golf cart batteries with 12.6v North Star batteries, restoration of wood in the top deck seating area, new 3 speed electrical fans installed throughout the boat, reseating and sealing all of the hatches, fixing ice box pump, replacing all bilge pumps and water pumps with new updated ones, and replaced most of the water hoses with new ones.
List of projects we plan on finishing before October:
- Interior aesthetic work
- Restoration of teak deck
- New Thermostat in the Ice Box
- Reupholstering both couches
- Replacing Battery Charger
- Fix Propane Stove
- Some minor wiring fixes
- Fix hatch above the kitchen
- Resealing windows
- Replacing some gauges
Recommendations after buying:
- I would recommend getting a hull out done, and if you don’t want to deal with the upkeep of a teak deck then replacing the teak deck with fiberglass.
