Guess what? The nerves are NOT your FAULT.
This is not an issue of talent. Its not an issue of what you were born with. So many people believe the voice is something that people can just "do", easy peasy. But even for the pros, it takes work, but how do you know what work to put in? That's why we train. Its not your fault these blocks have shown up. But you do have the ability and responsibility to learn how your unique voice works, based on your unique experience. That's what I'm here to help with.
My name is Sara Jelley and I'm a vocal coach, with a focus on the nervous system and getting people free of stage fright and invisible blocks that stop you from enjoying your voice. I like to think of myself as your Vocal Fairy Godmother.
What feels impossible now, may just be on the other side of this season with some mind/body/voice training. Just like going to the gym, daily practice with the right technique will get you doing things your past self never dreamed of!
I played Mary Poppins in 2016 at MauiOnstage, among roles in many other musicals, and I sang in 3 ZepMaui shows, as well as focusing on being a recording artist for the last 7 years. So if you're wanting to perform or just record, or just feel more ease at karaoke with your friends, I got you!
I'm a songwriter as well, and I released my 2nd album in October 2025. Happy to work on songwriting skills with you as well if you're interested!
