Maui Wellness Group, LLC (“Company”) is a regulated enterprise supervised by the Hawai`i Department of Health (“HDOH”) and Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division (“NED”). The Production Associate (“PA”) assists the Production Management Team (“PMT”) on an as-needed basis in the execution of day-to-day medical cannabis cultivation, processing & manufacturing operations at the Company’s Kula Production Centers (“KPC”).
Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting the PMT in the execution of day-to-day medical cannabis cultivation operations, on an as-needed basis.
Specific duties include:
• Assisting with planting, pruning, harvesting, drying and post-harvest handling of dried biomass;
• Assisting with cleaning & maintenance of grow rooms & greenhouses in service of regularly scheduled cultivation cycles
• Other tasks as may be assigned by the PMT.
Assisting the PMT in the execution of day-to-day medical cannabis processing operations, on an as-needed basis.
Specific duties include:
• Assisting with medical cannabis concentrate & infused product handling, filling & packaging;
• Assisting with the handling of medical cannabis biomass material, including but not limited to de-stemming, weighing, trimming & packing;
• Assisting with the preparation of medical cannabis pre-rolls;
• Ensuring stocks of solvent, glassware and other materials required to sustain uninterrupted secondary processing operations are consistently maintained;
• Cleaning and servicing the rotary evaporators, vacuum distillation systems and other equipment systems used for secondary processing;
• Cleaning and organizing laboratory glassware, stainless steel product handling implements, and other laboratory equipment;
• Regularly sweeping and mopping the secondary processing and final product formulation laboratories;
• Preparing & packing batches of medical cannabis-infused edible products;
• Other tasks as may be assigned by the PMT.
Assisting the PMT in the execution of regularly scheduled manufacturing tasks and protocols.
Specific duties include:
• Assisting the manufacturing team with routine extraction and infused product preparation tasks;
• Organizing and preparing ingredients for use in the production of infused edible baked goods and infused gummies;
• Washing dishes and assisting with general organization and cleanliness in the manufacturing areas;
• Organizing batches of inventory designated for extraction;
• Bucking and milling biomass in preparation for extraction;
• Packing & evacuating CO2E vessels;
• Executing service cycles and other routine extraction system maintenance protocols;
• Regularly cleaning and organizing the CO2E room to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and equipment operating conditions are maintained;
• Logging inventory tracking data and extraction yields;
• Other tasks as may be assigned by the PMT.
Qualifications
Work Experience Required
• Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility and willingness to accept new duties, take the initiative, and drive efficiency and innovation.
• Prior heavy equipment operations and maintenance experience strongly preferred;
• Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred;
• Experience working in the context of a regulated industry subject to strict compliance and security requirements an advantage.

Physical Requirements
• Must be comfortable with extended time walking, bending, and reaching;
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 100 feet;
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment subject to variable climate conditions;
• Must be a State of Hawaiʻi resident with a valid Hawaiʻi State Driver’s License;
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and state-mandated background check
• Must have reliable transportation;
• Due to state regulations, must be at least 21 years of age;
• Overtime work may be required to accommodate patient service demand and company deadlines;
• Must be dependable and adhere to all attendance/punctuality policies.
