An experienced manager is needed to oversee warehouse inventory, supervise staff, coordinate shipments, and ensure timely processing and cleaning of all laundry items while maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on role involves managing, assist in hiring, receiving, storing, picking of inventory, and packing activities, as well as ensuring the efficient operation of laundry facilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask effectively. Strong leadership, teamwork, and deadline management skills are essential.
• Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
• Supervise warehouse operations: Oversee the receiving, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of all laundered items.
• Supervise the daily care and operations of laundry equipment.
• Staff Management: Lead, train, and schedule warehouse employees to ensure efficiency and productivity. Ability to fill shifts as needed.
• Inventory control: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming and outgoing shipments, and conduct regular inventory audits. Advise the Inventory manager of inventory levels.
• Quality Assurance; Ensure all laundry meets company and customer quality standards
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols, maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Equipment maintenance: Coordinate and maintain service schedules with maintenance vendors for the servicing and repair of laundry machines.
• Manage the ordering of propane as needed
• Reporting: Prepare reports as needed and required by management.
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements and skills:
• Be a “working manager”, this is not a desk job position.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Preferred hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases, knowledge of Microsoft office a plus
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills. A calm, professional and respectful demeanor is mandatory.
• Physical requirements: Able to move/lift 50lbs unassisted, able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment, position to spend a lot of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
• Follow all company policies. Must follow all log-in and log-out requirements. Driving, pickup and delivery between facilities.
