This is a 21” Hawaiian Ni’ihau Kipona style lei with the Heliconia style at the base and pikake style at the top. The heliconia style lays flat and mimics the heliconia flowers found in Hawaii. The momi (dove) shells in this lei are in the kua ula (off white) color of the shells. The smaller colorful kahelelani shells used for in this lei are the ula ula (burgundy), Omaomao (tan with green tinge), akala pua (medium pink) and makue (deep brown). The luster of the shells is of a high quality. The stringing of the lei is very well done. There look to be no missing shells.
