Kauai Sea Tours, a well-established boat tour company with over 20 years of experience, is looking for a Marine Maintenance Technician to to help keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. If you have mechanical experience and enjoy hands-on work, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Perform general boat maintenance to ensure vessels are seaworthy daily
Conduct upkeep of trucks, trailers, and inventory
Assist with various projects within the Operations team
Support fueling, repairs, and vessel readiness
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marine diesel mechanics and outboard motors
Knowledge of preventive vessel maintenance
Familiarity with electrical systems, fiberglass repair, and/or rigging
Ability to identify issues and suggest operational improvements
Willingness to assist with annual drydock operations
Training available for the right candidate
Requirements
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good communication skills
Ability to follow directions, read schematics, and troubleshoot
Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
Flexible and responsive to urgent maintenance needs
Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays
Must currently live on island or be able to relocate to Kauai
Three references from relevant previous employers preferred
