A local geotechnical engineering consulting firm is looking for an entry-level to senior-level candidate as a full-time field technician/entry level engineer on Kauai Island. Duties include observing site grading, excavation, soil filling and backfilling, and compaction, performing field compaction (moisture content and density) tests. No experience is required for entry-level, will train!
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma and knowing well how to read construction plans
- Or having a strong desire to learn
- Excellent Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possessing a valid Hawaii Driver's License with clean abstract
- Good attitude and able to work as part of a team and/or independently
- Respectful, positive attitude. Trustworthy and dependable
- Lift and carry 60+ lbs
- Able to live on Kauai for months
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background screening to obtain government security clearance (military bases)
