Position Overview
The Beach House is seeking a reliable, organized, and people-focused Part-Time HR Coordinator to support our management team and hourly staff. This role serves as an administrative resource for HR-related tasks, employee documentation, onboarding, and general office support. The ideal candidate has a strong HR background, some restaurant experience, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
• Support managers and employees with basic HR and personnel matters
• Assist with recruiting, job postings, application review, and reference checks
• Prepare and administer new hire onboarding and orientation paperwork
• Maintain accurate employee files, I-9s, and personnel records
• Track training completion and employee documentation
• Assist with employee reviews, write-ups, and disciplinary documentation
• Support benefits administration and eligibility tracking
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and HR reporting as needed
• Communicate closely with the Office Manager, General Manager, and HR Director
• Provide occasional guest service or administrative support as needed
Requirements
• 1-2 years of HR, admin, or supervisory experience is required
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred
• Must be available 4 days per week (approximately 30 hours/week)
• Holiday & Weekend availability required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in Excel and use of macros
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information
• Professional demeanor with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
• Dependable and punctual
• Must include two (2) previous employer references on application
