We are looking for professional and sharp assistants to help us at an international ballroom dance competition at the Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort (3610 Rice Street, Lihue, Kauai), from January 15-17. Our team has many parts, and the positions we need filled are with manning cameras. We will need approximately 7 people total. The video work is not extensive, so little video experience is okay- we will be doing a training before the event begins on Thursday. All equipment will be provided. No personal equipment needed. Viable candidates will be placed in positions based on their ability to perform the most relevant task. The work is pretty fun, and there are many sporadic breaks throughout the days. There will be longer diner breaks in the evening. Lunch, snacks, and water provided.
Hours and pay rates are as follows*: EXACT TIMES TBD
-Thursday 7:30pm - 10:30pm
-Friday 8am - 6pm
-Saturday 9am - 11:30pm (with a 2-3 hour dinner break)
*Times are subject to change.
Rate: $18/hr
-Part time possessions needed, guaranteed 3 hours minimum for days you are hired
-Full amount paid via check, venmo or the Square Cash App at the end of your last shift of the weekend.
Because we are dealing with high-end clientele, the organizers of the event have asked us to abide by specific grooming and etiquette standards. Below is a grooming agreement that our team is required to agree to. Please do not respond to this ad if you would not be able to adhere to this agreement (We know it's super intense but again, it's the organizer's rules, not ours):
Attire:
1. All Maude Pro Team Members should be dressed in business-professional attire for all days of participation in the event named above. This means: dress slacks, comfortable dress shoes, button up dress shirt, and tie; a skirt/dress or dress slacks, professional blouse, comfortable dress shoes. It can get very cold inside the ballroom, and a suit jacket, vest, blazer, or sweater would be appropriate.
2. Attire must be all black.
3. All clothes should be ironed and well fitting (not too tight or too loose).
Hair/grooming:
1. Hair color should be one which naturally grows on a person. Our goal is to be in the background, so our hair should not call attention in any way.
2. Hair should be an appropriate length, and styled nicely. For men, this means when styled, it should not be in the face, but rather, combed and styled back away from the face. For women, this means: hair should look clean and well groomed.
3. Men should be clean shaven. If you have facial hair, it must be clean cut and sharply groomed. Necks and cheeks should be clean shaven.
4. As you will be in close proximity to others, you should be showered and use deodorant.
Behavior:
1. As cameras are constantly rolling, there is absolutely no talking at the video station. If any questions or concerns arise, you should wave down the Video Manager and address issues to him/her- not to the videographer standing next to you.
2. There should be no food consumed at the video station. We will provide food, but it should be consumed at a designated location.
3. It is vital that you always conduct yourself maturely and respectfully. Any interaction with other team members and/or clients should be calm, respectful, and pleasant. Remember, we are the background crew, and our behavior should not call attention in any way.
Must be available for a phone interview. Please RESPOND VIA EMAIL and INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER and let us know why you think this would be a good fit for you!
