USES
Livestock Feed:
Cattle, goats, sheep, horses all eat it
Pigs love it too
Good for chickens/poultry (they'll peck at the tender parts)
Mulch & Compost:
Excellent "brown" material for composting (high carbon when dried)
Garden mulch - suppresses weeds and retains moisture
Some gardeners specifically want this for building soil
Animal Bedding:
Chicken coops, rabbit hutches, goat pens
Once it dries out, it makes decent bedding material
Permaculture/Homesteading:
Chop-and-drop for food forests
Building hugelkultur mounds
Sheet mulching new garden beds
Some people use it for natural fencing/windbreaks if it's still rooted
Crafts/Building (less common but worth mentioning):
Thatching material
Basket weaving (if anyone's into that)
Natural fiber crafts
