We are a small, long-standing family business located in Hilo. Our office is a quiet, professional, and friendly environment. We are currently looking for a temporary part-time Office Assistant to help us transition our physical records into a digital system and maintain our database with high accuracy.
The Role
This is a focused, administrative role perfect for someone who enjoys organization, has a high attention to detail, and prefers a consistent, part-time schedule. You will be responsible for handling sensitive business documents and ensuring our digital records are up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Document Scanning: Prepare, scan, and digitize high volumes of physical files.
Data Entry: Accurately input information from scanned documents into our internal database/spreadsheets.
Record Management: Organize digital files and ensure they are named and filed correctly for easy retrieval.
Quality Control: Review digital scans for clarity and cross-check data entry for errors.
General Support: Light filing, administrative tasks and errand -running as needed.
Requirements
Trustworthy & Discreet: You will be handling sensitive business information; confidentiality is a top priority.
Highly Reliable: We are a small team and depend on our staff to be present for their scheduled shifts.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with document scanners and basic computer software (Microsoft Excel/Word or Google Workspace).
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy during repetitive tasks.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
Local Resident: Must be located in or near Hilo with reliable transportation and current drivers license.
