Perennial peanut: This is the preferred low growing, dense cultivar (permanent nitrogen fixing ground cover) which can only be propagated vegetatively. Once established, this perennial peanut is one of the best ground covers there is for preventing weed germination. Bulk cuttings for propagation and plant out.
NOTE: Two totes will cover approx. 1000 - 2000 sq. ft., planting reasonably heavily.
I recommend planting heavily since most of your time (cost) will be keeping the area hand-weeded for 4-8 months until the peanut establishes and fills in thick enough to suppress any future weed germination.
