This elegant coffee set was made by the Knickerbocker Silver Co. in NJ 1894-1972. It is marked EPNS (Electroplated Nickle Silver) in the Hogarth pattern. This is in excellent condition, with a small amount of silver plate gone. As the base metal is Nickle, it is not noticeable unless pointed out. Most silver plate you see for sale is damaged due to improper cleaning or storage. This set has been used, cleaned & stored properly for many years. The two most expensive base metals used in silver plate are Nickle or copper.
