I had this looked at by a knowledgeable collector, he said it is German and used for hunting Bore & Deer. Looks like the 1870's. It is heavily decorated with hunting scenes. Much of the gold gilding is gone from the brass. it has a hidden knife & fork for eating what you catch. It has a Manta ray skin handle. He valued it at 250.00.
