A FREE beginner-level 'ukulele class is being offered at the Na'alehu Methodist Church (in the Friendship Hall Annex), across from the Na'alehu P.O., on Wednesdays at 2:30 pm. The class will run for eight sessions starting March 4. Students must be able to read. No prior musical experience is needed. Adults and keiki are welcome - those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We even have 'ukuleles you can borrow!
The class will cover the basics of 'ukulele playing: fingering simple chords and using easy strumming techniques to accompany singing. We will also cover some elementary music theory and history of the 'ukulele.
There is no need to register - just show up on March 4! Please let us know if you are interested in the class but cannot attend the first session.
