Key member of the engineering team that will help lead the development of our next generation software applications.

Duties:

Qualifications:

•	BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

•	3+ years experience in developing software engineering solutions, including experience working with project managers and other engineers in all phases of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation and maintenance

•	Strong knowledge in OOD/OOP; proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++ 
<br>
•	Experience with networking technologies (Ethernet, IP v4/v6, TCP/IP, QoS, Routing) preferred 
<br>
•	Experience with developing under agile/iterative development processes (RUP, XP, Scrum) preferred 
<br>
•	Team player with good interpersonal/communication skills

•	Must be able to attain security clearance

The testing will be implemented stressing automation and repeatability of the testing in future software releases. <br>

Requirements include:<br>

We are interviewing for a few Firmware Engineers to join our team. In this role you would be responsible for design and development of sections of the Firmware Infrastructure functionality. The implementation is for state of the art Network Test Equipment. The development has to follow the standard development process. The design includes specification of the initial design, communicating design to others in design group reviews, implementing the design, validating the implementation via scripting interface and integrating the feature with other peer developer. <br>

Initially you would be part of the test module, generator or analyzer design team. The generator and analyzer are the major components of the Layer 2 and 3 performance measurement. You will work closely with the FPGA developer and UI/BLL Engineers and initially contribute to the design. By building up your system knowledge you will receive more responsibilities. Overall the goal is that the Senior Firmware Engineer drives one of the teams and owns the generator or analyzer. As part of test module design team you require knowledge in the low level boot code and Linux. Major development tasks are related to test module bring-up and providing a generic environment for other developer. You will work very closely with the hardware team. <br>

Responsibilities for generator or analyzer team: <br>
1. Design, implementation and delivery of the features in the generator or analyzer. They are the major parts of the PGA (Packet Generation and Analysis). <br>
2. Designs the future enhancements by refactoring the existing code. Design responsibilities includes initial design specification, detailed C++ and Python coding, simulation, design verification and regression testing. <br>
3. Maintain and enhance the common library used by the firmware generator or analyzer and STC application BLL. New features and code refactoring require modifications in the common libraries. <br>
4. Lead a small generator or analyzer development team. <br>
5. Translate marketing requirements into firmware features and set the required software architecture in place. Direct team members in understanding and delivering each feature. <br>
<br>
Requirements include:<br>
B.S. in engineering, computer science or related field a 2-3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.<br>
The successful candidate will possess solid (and recent) experience with C and C++ <br>
Knowledge of one or more of the following data networking technologies: LAN/WAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Multicast, VoIP (RTP), VLAN, MPLS, PPPoE, Ipv6, Ipv4 or POS is required. <br>
Recent development experience in Linux platforms is required. <br>
Proven record of designing and implementing high quality software products and delivering them to market as scheduled. <br>
Ability to effectively communicate with all team members and with the management team on design decisions and issues in both verbal and written communication. <br>
Good team player. Excellent time management skills.<br>

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a candidate to support the Pacific Missile Range Facility's (PMRF) Oracle based, Business Information System (BIS) Web application. The technical leader will provide guidance and work leadership to software engineers; may have supervisory responsibilities; maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies; and participate in special projects as required. Duties include supporting Oracle database software; designing, developing, testing and implementing new screens, reports, interfaces and procedures as required to support Navy Financial Business processes. Additional duties include database administrator (DBA) support for a variety of Oracle databases. The position will require senior analytical skills to interface with key PMRF department managers to demonstrate proposed BIS database design changes for front end screen requirements and data extraction reporting needs on a timely basis; conduct research to identify new software applications and utilities that will enhance the BIS development process. <br>

Requires BS/BA degree. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, with emphasis in computer science, information technology, or engineering<br>
<br>
Requires 8-10 years of senior programming experience is required including 3 years as a practicing DBA. A background in Oracle is preferred. <br>
<br>
A secret security clearance are required. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures used in systems software and database development. Proficiency in the use of one or more technologies is required; specifically Oracle PL/SQL and related tools including Forms, Reports, SQL*Loader, Oracle Application Server (Web), Reports Server and Forms Server.<br>
