VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR Wanted
Hawaiian Hope is a Technology Based Non Profit Organization, and we are looking for A VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR .
Hawaiian Hope provides services to other non profits with a strong focus on homeless services and disaster management. We currently manage the data of several of the states largest homeless shelters and the personal data of over 5,000 individuals. We expect to be working with 20 shelters by the end of the year and managing the data of over 8,500 people.
We build computer classrooms in homeless shelters, provide computers to families moving back into housing, conduct training classes in the use of computers, and design online web based data management tools for non profit organizations to use to manage their facilities and day-to-day operations.
We have several "mobile" projects soon to start including a mobile computer classroom - disaster communications center, a Mobile Laundry service - Disaster hygiene and water purification plant.
We compile data that is used to secure grant funding for organizations, report data directly to various state offices and form solid relationships with these offices and other organizations in order to strengthen the lives of the people in our communities.
Are you the right person for us ?
Volunteers can assist in a wide variety of skills. Services in the areas of technology include : computer repair, organization, training, networking, programming, web design. Other volunteers needed include : cleaning, filing and paperwork, warehouse management, marketing and promoting our organization, grant writing, planning and development.
Hours for volunteers can be adjusted to meet your schedule. Weekends only ? OK ! evening ? OK ! weekdays ? OK !
Primary Skills Needed :
1) MUST love people, be energetic, a selfstarter and have a POSITIVE attitude.
2) Must have a commitment to excellence and understand good communications.
3) Must be dependable.
4) An understanding of technology is rather helpful but not necessary The rest, we can teach you.................
