Honolulu Symphony Mo’olelo Project
The Honolulu Symphony Associates are creating a special traveling exhibit entitled the “Honolulu Symphony Mo’olelo Project”, which will be displayed at various locations around Oahu. “Mo’olelo” means “history” in Hawaiian. The Symphony has been performing for audiences and has been a vital cultural institution for the state of Hawaii for the past 110 years. We are asking community members to get involved in the project by donating symphony memorabilia you’ve collected over the years. For example, old programs, posters, photos, T-shirts, autographed items or anything you think would be interesting. You can also E-mail us a few paragraphs recounting a special symphony experience you wish to share. Items can be dropped off at the Symphony Office labeled “Honolulu Symphony Mo’olelo Project” with your name and contact information or you can E mail us so we can arrange for a pick up of your item. The deadline for submissions is November 20, 2009. For more information, to volunteer, send submissions, request a display in your area, or arrange for a pick up of your item, please contact us at mooleloproject@yahoo.com
