Lead Installation Technician is responsible for all field operations tasks preformed in the fixed wireless network. Responsibilities include but are not limited to new customer installations, service calls, de-installations, and network maintenance as directed by supervisors. The skills essential in this position are structured cabling (network cable, coaxial cable, fiber) and an understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols in addition to network troubleshooting skills. Microwave and wireless radio frequency knowledge is a plus, but not required. . Percentage of time will include tower climbing. The ability to work a rotating on-call schedule with occasional weekend work is necessary. The successful candidate must be driven to learn new technologies and be capable of mastering tasks quickly, self starting and dedicated to being part of a team. This person will be responsible for managing other climbers/technicians.
Mandatory
• Pass a background test
• Maintain a drivers license with a safe driving record
• Tower climbing experience
• Troubleshooting theory and processes knowledge including extensive experience with Anritsu test equipment.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Tower climbing experience

• Certifications with carrier installation classes a plus
Responsibilities
• Installing antennas, radios, cameras and other customer premises equipment
• Cable runs from rooftop antenna to the customer premises equipment
• Cable runs from wireless radios to enclosures
• Programming customer premises equipment using computer and tools provided
• Testing and certifying circuits
• Troubleshooting circuit problems both wireless and network related
• Daily driving and maintenance of company vehicle
• Inventory tracking on vehicle level and installations
• The ability to update service request tickets in an informative and timely manner
• Carry out routine and special assignments as directed by manager
• Willingness to climb towers and install equipment per company standards.
