This is a tale about Kainoa Reyes a struggling 22 year old who is searching for direction and meaning in his life, whom after the passing of his Aunty and Uncle is placed as the caretaker of his 8-year-old nephew Leka. Kainoa yearns to give Leka the love and support he grew up without, but Kainoa lacks the self control to make good decisions and is hampered by his friends because he is not secure enough in himself to step away from the bad things they do together and become the good parenting figure for young Leka, until one day Kainoa sees one of his friends force their bad ways on his little brother (around the same age as Leka) and Kainoa gains the strength and courage to walk away from this negativity and start on a path to becoming the Uncle that Leka really needs right now, thus illuminating that self reflectance leads to courage and maturity.
Kainoa: Male 18-28, 5’10 and taller, local looking (Hawaiian, Samoan, Islander look)
Is doing the best he can has a good heart but likes to go out and hang out with the boys. Has a surfer/MMA fighter demeanor
Tony: Male 18-28, Local look, 5’4-5’9 (Hawaiian, Samoan, Islander look)
Likes to get high on meth and has a bit of a temper and is sort of lost in his ways by doing drugs and living fast. A little shorter than Kainoa and Brian and has a bit of a small mans complex to himself
Brian: Male 18-25 local looking (Hawaiian, Samoan, Islander look)
Kinda of laid back but still very intense at times, likes trouble
Leka: Male 7-13 looks local
Kainoa’s little nephew nice innocent little kid, but at the same time a little mischievious
Tony’s little brother: Male 8-14 looks somewhat like his brother
A little older than Leka but still just a little kid maybe a little bit of a punk but in a good way
