The Position
Reporting to the Facility Manager or a lead the Maintenance Technician. Will work with processes and production engineers to ensure efficient day-to-day production operations in a R&D lab atmosphere. As a team member, work to continuously improve production processes, equipment reliability and tool performance using SPC charting and process verification. Responsibilities:
Specific deliverables associated with this opportunity include:
• Perform manufacturing tasks to established work instructions and procedures in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Initiate planned corrective actions.
• Perform Basic & Minor Preventive Maintenance.
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance.
• Under the supervision of Facility Manager, assist with major equipment maintenance when necessary.
• Under the supervision Facility Manager, assist with the closing of open action plans.
• May assist in supporting production engineers in resolving and addressing process or equipment problems.
• Take actions to bring equipment back into operating parameters when necessary.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas.
• Comply with all company safety and environmental requirements.
• Enter data into computers and identify OOC conditions, respond to OOC according to established procedures. Performs equipment alarm recovery tasks.
• May perform simple tasks including the movement of parts and materials, restocking supplies.
• Participate in shift "passdowns" as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
• Minimum education of an Associate's degree in Science, Technology or related discipline. Additional preference will be given for Microelectronics manufacturing coursework.
• Must possess a minimum of (1) one year related work experience in high-volume manufacturing, with a preference for experience in semiconductor or related technologies. This experience may be gained by internships, direct experience or coursework projects.
• A basic working knowledge of Diffusion Furnaces, Wet Bench Etching equipment; Photolithography, Dry Etch, PECVD and other equipment related to silicon wafer processing in Semiconductor or MEM's manufacturing equipment and/or production processes is preferred.
• Prior experience with the operation of related equipment and performance of basic PM's is required. Additional preference for some experience with minor equipment maintenance.
• Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be working in a team environment that is very data-driven.
• Basic computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word). A basic working knowledge of manufacturing or ERP systems and data entry and/or collection from such systems is preferred but not required.
• Familiarization and experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) is preferred.
• A basic working knowledge of equipment and manufacturing safety procedures is required (e.g., lock-out / tag-out, electrical / high-voltage, chemical, reading MSDS, incident response procedures).
• Must demonstrate and ability to conduct data collection and measurement activities utilizing standard and metric systems.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be physically able to perform some repetitive motions.
