Rebooblicons glossing over election results (AAiea)

First....intelligent people tend to watch less TV. This skews the results of news polls.

Second....nutjob Reichwingers only have one outlet to get their koolaid, so they all congregate at FAUX sNOOZE. When there is only one watering hole, the whole herd shows up. So FAUX gets good ratings. We more intelligent sorts who actually choose to use TV to access some of our news are spread all over the "dial" and at varying times. I TIVO a lot of my shows, so I don't show up on many poll results, I imagine.

Re: the election results. The Virginia governorship was a foregone conclusion, as for the ninth time in a row, the people of Virginia elected a governor of the opposite party as the President. They elected Dems during the Bush Admuddlestration, Rethugs during Clinton. Dyed in the wool contrarians, I guess. Corzine was doomed with the amount of corruption in his administration and the economic disaster that is New Jersey. No surprise and it's probably a good thing to get somebody else in office, even a Rethug.
Much more telling is the circus the Rebooblicons staged in New York 23. The locally chosen Rapepudlicker lady was deemed "too liberal" by out of state Thugs and they invaded the area and DICK Armey foisted off a know nothing boob who didn't even live in the district on the people there and hoped that calling him a member of a turd party, the "Conservative Party", would hide the blatant attempt at carpetbagging and trashing the local Rethug party apparatus. The Rethug lady candidate said "screw this" when she got stiffed by the big Rethugs, and switched her support to the Democratic candidate, who won handily. This in a district that has NEVER before elected a Democrat. Not in over a hundred and fifty years.
Now on to the one that Rubadublicons really don't want to talk about, California 10th. Dem Garamendi beat Rethug Harmer (great name) to hold the seat for the Dems. This is the only one where the typical midterm election tendency to elect someone of another party didn't take.
So, Dems are content and happy today, the elections did NOTHING to alter the political landscape, except for boobs who don't understand politics. Hey Thugs, I'll bet you can find some good deals on rose colored glasses on ebay.
