I have a little dilemma at my home. I am fostering a dog from the Oahu SPCA, He's a beautiful Border Collie, Male around 1 or 2 years old. He's such a great dog but unfortunately he's not getting along with my other Border Collie. They started well but my girl is getting a little territorial. She's usually a great dog and loves hanging out with other dogs but with Charlie, they just seem to be like oil and water, they just don't mix. They have been fighting. They are fine when i'm around but once I go upstairs and leave them alone they just go at it. So I have to keep them separated which is not ideal.
The problem, other than the fighting, I really don't want to bring him back to SPCA. After going from Rags to Riches, it's kinda hard to see him go back to Rags. I would like for someone to adopt him and soon. He's potty trained (still have some marking accidents but working on it) and we are working on basic commands. He need someone with a lot of patience, since he gets scared easily. A lot of time to keep training him and building his confidence. He needs a big yard to run in or at least lots of walks since he is a herding dog. He's also very skinny but he is slowly gaining the pounds. He's very calm in the house and has done well with young children but he gets scared with loud noises like barking or clapping. He's skittish around men at first but after a while he accepts them. Over all he loves to be pet and takes to women very easily and loves being around you. He's a very sweet and caring dog. He does want to please you but he just need to be shown how.
