Summary:
The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, lifecycle management of all marketing initiatives related to the consumer voice side of the business. They are responsible developing the short term and long term strategy for meeting the needs of this specified customer segment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Manage, promote, direct, plan, and coordinate activities for specific product line and ensure synergy with related product line managers on the team to ensure that product line objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and parameters.
- Develop quarterly product releases plan and long-term strategic marketing and channel direction to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual profit goals.
- Responsible for leading the implementation and daily execution of all product initiatives, re-pricing of services, product design and development for the consumer market segment.
- Must maintain excellent relationships with Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering and IT for timely prioritization and execution of all strategic initiatives.
- Develop promotional campaigns with the PUC jurisdiction to drive incremental revenue to selected products and services within the consumer voice portfolio.
- Identify and communicate current state-of-the-market and competitive threats.
- Provides expertise in the consumer customer segment and develops strategies to increase the spending with the company by customers in that segment.
- Identifies market potential, establishes product offers, pricing and market strategies.
- Estimates potential sales, introduces market, distribution/channel issues, and manages mature product through phase-out for a specified customer segment.
- Coordinates details of program within the organization with a wide range of functions and individuals.
- Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.
- Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established product to obtain financial objectives. Including managing service metrics around consumer products to meet competitive threats. Responsible for understanding and managing profit and loss of products within the consumer market.

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assumes leadership in specific assignments and manages time for projects and other tasks.
- Works effectively and interacts tactfully with others in a manner that conveys professionalism.
- Manages relationships with various business units, departments and consultants.
- Works cooperatively with other units to achieve and maintain a strong client service environment.
- Demonstrates skills to organize work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects, distribute effort appropriately among the projects, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Maintains commitment to staying current and well informed of advances in all aspects of online services and strategies, information technology and the telecommunications industry through perusal of literature and attendance to classes and exhibits.

Product Development Phase:
o Manage product-costing projections, pricing recommendations and initial product forecasts.
o Develop new product line (As appropriate) to allow company to increase market share.
o Manage specification of product to meet sales requirements and margin goals.

Qualifications:

A. Education or equivalent:
- Must have successfully completed a BS Degree in Marketing, Computer Sciences or comparable field or 3 y ears equivalent work experience.
B. Professional training or knowledge:
- Demonstrated working knowledge in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Access).
- Proficient skills using MS Excel with demonstrated work experience preferred.

C Work experience:
- 5+ years experience in telecommunications and carrier markets performing the following:
o Managing product costing;
o Develop promotional campaigns
o Estimating potential sales, introducing markets, distribution/channel issues, and managing mature product through phase-out for a specified customer segment

- Must have Marketing Skills that includes proven experience as a member of a team but able to work and remain productive while working independently with little or no supervision

Physical Demands

- Work may be performed a various locations under varying conditions.
- Requires considerable standing, sitting, lifting/carrying supplies and training materials up to 40 lbs, and reading paper documentation and electronic communications.
- Requires traveling to various locations and company branches and departments throughout the State of Hawaii in a timely manner.
- Required to meet multiple priorities and project due dates. May require late hours and weekends to complete assignments and projects.
