As a childcare provider and parent myself, I am EMBARRASSED at what the original poster has claimed as holiday etiquette. Parents, we are here to watch your children, for all hours that we have agreed upon, and all days that we have agreed upon. I know that my hours are laid out in the beginning and all holidays that I take off are as well, and expect me to watch your child on any day that we have not agreed upon as a day off, again, for all hours that I am open. Trust that there are good people out there, it may take some time and searching for the right person, but you can find the right person.
