The Charter School Administrative Office is looking for a person to help administer federal grant programs to charter schools. Duties include understanding requirements of individual grant programs including writing for grants; communicating directly with charter schools, Department of Education program managers, and the Charter School Review Panel; providing technical assistance to charter schools; processing funding requests; and clerical support.
Preferred experience:
* Familiar with Hawaii's charter schools and charter school community
* Understand the requirements of some or all of the following federal grants or programs: Title I, Title IIa, Title III, Safe & Drug Free Schools, Impact Aid, NCLB, McKinney-Vento
* Experience with administering and writing for grants; experience with federal grants in an educational setting preferred
* Experience with communicating program requirements and providing assistance to a client-base
* Clerical experience related to record-keeping and finances
* Bachelors of Arts degree, or equivalent work experience
