Aloha. I took my 5 year old son to 808 Bounce today and initially was turned off by the stench. It smelled like dirty diaper and sweat. Nevertheless, he really wanted to bounce so I paid the $8.75 and went in. There were lots of kids running crazy. They were climbing the sides of the bouncers, jumping off the tops of them, running in between them where the electrical cords were, and were pulling the tops down and crushing the smaller children. One little girl got trapped and was crying for help. There was 1 employee for the entire place. I went to the little girl's aid, telling the kids to get off. Aside from myself, there was only one other parent that I saw actively watching her children. All the other parents were sitting at tables not even caring. I took my son's hand and told him that it wasn't safe for him and that we were leaving. The next thing I know, the 1 employee got in my face and said "Excuse me?! I am doing the best I can here, does this look like a damn daycare center to you?!" First of all, I hadn't been talking to her. Second of all, where are the other employees? It clearly states on each machine "DO NOT USE UNLESS OPERATOR IS PRESENT". I told her that it was an unsafe environment and that I wanted to speak with her manager. She said "Well I am the manager and you can just leave. I am sorry you are having a bad day!" Needless to say this only made me more enfuriated so I demanded the name and number of the business owner. She grudgingly complied. As she was writing it out for me she said and I quote "Maybe you should have come on a Monday or Tuesday when it isn't so busy!" I'm sorry, I didn't know that safety was reserved to certain days of the week! I proceeded to call Paul at 366-6055. He offered me a refund and listened to my complaint. I told him that the woman working there was rude, insulting, and careless. If you care about your kids, their safety and overall welfare, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO 808 BOUNCE @ Pearlridge Mall!!!!!!
