Mark your calendars!! It's the annual Ala Moana Beach Turkey Swim hosted by the Nu'uanu YMCA and the Waikiki Swim Club. THE TURKEY SWIM is an open water swim race, and due to Ala Moana Park’s reef, the swimmer is protected from a true “rough” water race. This allows the novice swimmer a calm introduction into the excitement of ocean swim races while still providing the seasoned racer a challenge **featuring the Classic 2K Swim, and the Turkey Lite 1K Swim!
START: Promptly at 8:30 am, Sunday November 15, Ala Moana Beach Park, Diamond Head end. A staggered start may be used depending on the number of entrants.
ENTRY FEE & DEADLINES: * $25, if postmarked by 11/07/09 includes a 2009 Turkey Swim Towel. *$35 late entry accepted up to 8 am on race day, includes towel if available.
AWARDS: 2K awards will be given to the first three male and female finishers. (Elite winners are not eligible for age group awards.) 2K Age Group: An award will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age group. 1K: An achievement certificate and a certifcate for a turkey will be given to the first three male and female finishers.
