Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 1983, became affiliated with Sutter Health in 1992, and was converted to a not-for-profit behavioral health hospital. We are located on a private 14.5 acre setting on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The facility is the first and only free-standing center for psychiatry exclusively dedicated to behavioral health care in Hawaii. We are dedicated not only to psychiatric, emotional and behavioral stabilization, but also to recovery through empowerment. Teaching individuals the skills to self manage and self-regulate to the fullest possible extent is a fundamental goal within the treatment and recovery process. Improving the overall quality of life for the people we serve is at the heart of Kahi Mohala’s philosophy of care.

Located on 14.5 park-like acres, Kahi Mohala's 88-bed facility is Hawaii's only private, freestanding psychiatric hospital. Kahi Mohala provides comprehensive behavioral health services for adults, adolescents and children experiencing problems with psychiatric disorders, anxiety, depression, eating disorders. The buildings and grounds offer a complete residential environment with an emphasis on patient safety and security. The Payroll/Accounting Analyst maintains adequate control and related files for the hospital's payroll system to ensure that all bi-weekly payroll, quarterly, and annual payroll reports are prepared in an accurate and timely manner.  This position also performs varied accounting duties to include reconciliation and analysis of accounts, prepares financial reports and prepares cash disbursements supported by purchase orders and receiving documentation and ensures that payments are made in a routine and timely manner.

Associate degree in Accounting and demonstrated work experience in the accounting filed is required.  Bachelors degree and additional formal accounting training with substantial work experience in accounting is preferred.
 
  5 years of increasingly responsible payroll and accounting experience, with emphasis on General ledger reconciliation and analysis.
 
Sound knowledge of Accounting theories, Payroll Accounting, State and Federal Laws, rules and regulations affecting payroll procedures and proficient use of windows based spreadsheets.
 
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and problem solutions; strong analytical and problem solving background; working knowledge of Microsoft outlook e-mail system; able to work under ambitious time constraints; previous experience with KRONOS or similar payroll software,  AS400 query and AS400.
