Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in one of all of these areas: general ledger, accounts receivable, project or cost accounting, budgeting or financial reporting. Federal contracting experience preferred.
Duties include: Tracking financial progress of various projects by creating financial reports, maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers, cost expenses, accounts receivable, etc. Analyzing and tracking budgeted, forecasting and actual costs for various projects/contracts. Review purchase requisitions and subcontracts to ensure proper cost coding and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure compliance to internal and external audits. Maintenance and tracking of all agreements.
Must have excellent communication skills to be able to deal with various project managers. Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks/projects in a very fast-paced and demanding environment. Must be willing to work overtime, as needed. Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly in MS Excel, is required.
