A classic synth gets a make-over by three significant updates to the original. The DX-7 was an amazing digital FM synth. The DX-7s carries on the torch once held by the DX-7. It offers the same great FM synthesis method and can also create sounds just as unique and wild as the DX-7. However, they can be just as difficult to program and understand for most users. Some general improvements include enhanced MIDI support, micro-tuning, aftertouch controlled pitch bending, and multiple LFOs. Although many improvements have been made to the DX-7 in this upgrade there still could have been room for improvement, which is where the DX7IID and DX7IIFD come in. (I have the improved DX7II FD just in case you where wondering)

These next models allowed for keyboard split and layering capabilities. The DX7IID (pictured above) and DX7IIFD hold 64 voices in internal memory, as well as an additional 64 voices in a RAM/ROM cartridge that can be accessed. These voices can be layered in dual mode providing very rich sounds or a nice combination of sounds that would be impossible on the original DX7. They can also be split, for a two voice multi-timbral capability. Again, impossible on the original DX.

They have wonderfully clean sound and are stereo, providing pans and chorus and a few other nice effects. There are two real time sliders on these instruments, allowing control of user-programmable items in real time. Micro-tuning, as well as fractional tunings for eastern music etc. is possible. The FD includes a floppy drive for storage of patches, performance presets and sysex information. Like the DX7, these new models may have been used by The Crystal Method, Kraftwerk, Underworld, Orbital, Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Depeche Mode, D:Ream, Front 242, U2, A-Ha, Enya, The Cure, Stabbing Westward.

I am selling my Dean ML Noir. This guitar has been setup and plays like a dream. I am selling it cause the wife said if I want to buy a Gibson I have to sell a guitar. It is in great condition. I really hate to part with this guitar but I put 3 pieces of paper in a hat (I have multiple guitars) and this one came out. I has a chrome skull knob on one of the volume pots. It's hard not to wanna shred on this guitar as fast as the neck is. I replaced the stock pickups with the pickups from my Ibanez SZR720 which are the NEO-Z's, which have neodymium magnets which are rare earth magnets that have the strongest pull. The pickups have a Powerful, saturated sound, and bright, but not muddy. This guitar will satisfy most rock tastes. I played everything from Pink Floyd to Pantera on this guitar. It saddens me to part with it, but I mainly use my JS1200 for my whammy guitar. And I am not selling that one, EVER>>>>This guitar is worth every penny......

This is made from solid sterling silver: the head, body, foot and keys. Many cheaper models of "solid silver" instruments do NOT have solid silver keywork.
It plays beautifully.
It is a limited-edition model copy of a famous concert artist's Haynes, made by Artley's specialty shop for him to replace that instrument, the model 380.
This plays as well or better than most Haynes flutes, imho. However, since it was only made for a few years (this was a high-end "prestige" product for Artley, and it wasn't really profitable so it was discontinued) most people don't know about them so the price is reasonable.
Even though in performance it will compete with flutes that cost thousands of $ on the used market, I'm pricing it at a bargain level since so few people will be familiar with it, or know that a high-end instrument was produced by Artley as a limited-production product.......it is nothing like the lower-end instruments in their product line.
It plays effortlessly at all dynamics, and the pads and aesthetics are great.

Digital Sampler with 2 Octave Plus Range and Controllable Dynamics
The RSD-10 digital effects unit incorporates a sampling function as well as a delay function in a single body. Used in the Sampler mode, 2 octaves and more of scale can be produced as well as a duration of up to 2 seconds for the sampled sound. With an innovative circuit to control pitch with audio signals in a different manner to both MIDI and CV/GATE, the RSD-10 will transform any synthesizer into a sampling keyboard just as you would connect an effects unit. Depending on the synthesizer it is used with, a wide range of effects such as dynamics, pitch bending, modulation, portamento, attack and decay times, can be controlled. What's even more attractive is that the RSD-10 is not restricted for use with synthesizers alone, but can be used with a drum pad (optional BP-1) rhythm machine and pedal switch. In the Digital Delay mode, a 2ms delay to an ultra-long delay of up to 2000ms can be obtained. To top things off, the RSD-10's 12-bit digital system in tandem with the noise reduction system ensures sound that's clear and free of noise.

Controls

RANGE/MODE:
To select between the delay and sampler modes. In the delay mode, you can choose 1 of the 5 delay time ranges while the sampler mode lets you select from autorecording, manual recording, gate- or trigger-generated sampling effects.

FINE/PITCH:
When the unit is in the delay mode this will enable you to fine-adjust the amount of delay time. When the RSD-10 is used as a sampler, this control will adjust the playback sound pitch.

PLAYBACK TRIM:
Operative only when the unit is in the sampler mode, this allows you to vary the tail-end or the latter part of the playback sound to cut off any unnecessary portion of the sound.

FEEDBACK/OVERDUB:
For selecting the number of repeats desired when the unit is in the delay mode and for adjusting the level of overdubbing when the RSD is in the sampler mode.

EFFECT LEVEL:
For controlling the proportion or ratio of the direct sound to the effect (delay or sampled) sound.

Point Of Performance
With the RSD-10, you are free to utilize any sound that's available to aid you in creating new sounds. The RSD-10 frees you from any restrictions - you can produce a human voice from a synthesizer, sample the shriek of a tire and create truly special effects by over-dubbing. No matter what sound you create, it is essential to produce that sampled sound with a high S/N ratio. You can make sure your sampled sound preserves a high S/N ratio by setting the LEVEL switch to a point just before the input overload indicator lights up. If you're trying to pick up a sound with a microphone, a preamplifier is needed (RPQ-10 etc.), but a cassette deck in the Recording Standby mode will also serve to preamplify the signal If the same sound is to be used repeatedly, it is advisable to put the sound on tape. In addition, other effects such as sound-on-sound may be initiated by setting ultra-long delay times of up to 2000ms.

Trick & Shock
In the Sampler mode, turn the FINE/PITCH to adjust the pitch of the sampled sound. This will allow you to create effects which are just like sweeping the sound source. The Fig. shows a down-sweep setting. Rotate the knob clockwise to raise the sound's pitch and sweep up. Electronic drum pitch sweep sounds are simple to create too. The Delay knob goes so fast it turns into a drone, which can be controlled for a spooky texture. The mix knob can be used more like a volume knob, but after halfway it doesnt get much louder. This violin, made by the LiuXi Workshop, is one of the remarkable new wave of stringed instruments now being made by the Chinese, changing the expectations of the level of quality that can be obtained by students on a budget. This violin belongs to the Advanced Model (MV5000) of YITAMUSIC Violin Series.

Medium grain spruce top. Two-piece maple back with narrow figure. Scroll and ribs are made of matching figured maple. The varnish of this violin is full oil, hand rubbed. Modeled on Stradivarius design, four corner blocks inside and fully lined. The tailpiece, chinrest, and pegs are ebony. Aubert bridge from France. Tone has rich bass, and bright overtones. The pegs run very smoothly. Includes vibrant Brazilwood bow.

The instrument is fitted with Larsen Tzigane G, D, and A strings, and a Lenzner Goldbrokat E string for performance quality tone.

Wittner-type "Ultra" Composite Tailpiece with 4 fine tuners, $25

Outfit comes with an oblong lightweight nylon-covered case with carrying strap, full suspension, four bow holders, violin blanket, two inner compartments and music pouch, and rosin. Includes a certificate from the luthier.
