Aloha,
If you are looking for great tenants who will not only maintain your home, but will also make improvements, please consider us. My husband is the bar manager at Charley's and I am an art teacher currently taking a leave as I had a baby 2 months ago. We are a family of 4 currently living in an amazing 3 bedroom home in Haiku for $1500/mo. The land has sold and we have to move. In the short 6 months that we lived in this home we painted the entire house, built an outdoor shower and installed a pond with guppies to eat mosquitos. In our last home in Makawao, from which we moved to acquire more privacy, we built 2 lanai's, started a garden and planted grass. We are one year new to Maui and are realizing the housing situation is unstable and landlords are looking for good long term tenants who can pay rent on time. We are willing to negotiate rent if you would consider it. We can pay $1400/mo. for a 2-3 bed home with a covered lanai, private yard, lots of light, hw or tile floors, and option to garden. Let me know if this is an option for you. We have excellent references.
