I agree with last comment about the absurd concept of banning Pitbulls. The person who said in an earlier posting that, "I have to agree, most are dangerous," couldn't be more wrong. "Most" Pitbulls are NOT dangerous. Pitbulls become dangerous as a result of their upbringing.
Banning Pitbulls is useless as those who breed and train dogs to fight will just pick another breed. I remember the days when we were all afraid of German Shepards, then it was Doberman Pincers. Now Pitbulls. What next: Labradors? We need better legislation to prevent and punish those who mistreat dogs, not ban the dogs themselves.
I am a Pitbull owner, a responsible one, and I applaud the efforts of the Maui Pitbull Rescue in their attempts to present these great dogs in their true light and I would encourage everyone to read or re-read their last post here. Better yet, support this organization!!
