Hi there, myself and a friend are interested in moving to Hawaii from Santa Cruz, CA but have not found much information that's been useful.

We'd love to get first hand accounts from mainlanders who have moved there. We are in our twenties, we have transportable jobs (server/filmmaker and retail/art gallery) the cost of living in Santa Cruz is already astronomical, and we aren't tied down by many commitments.

What is the biggest positive? Biggest negative? If you could do it again, would you? What would you do differently?

Any advice is appreciated. Most stuff on the internet is about vacationing to Hawaii. Thanks!
