MADILYN

Madilyn was adopted by one of the rescues for whom we did neutering and was abandoned by her family when they moved off of Schofield Barracks.

Her microchip brings her back to us and we are committed to finding her a permanent home this time. Madilyn is a bit fearful and while she loves attention, if you move too fast or hug her too tightly she becomes frightened and may bite or scratch.

She will require patience and unconditional love from her guardian or guardians to overcome her fear. With that support, however, she will be a wonderful cat; she has shown that side of her personality even with the fear and with the right situation as her trust grows, we know she will thrive.

Madilyn is approximately 4 years old and healthy.

ACF is a no kill animal rights oriented organization which rehabilitates ill and injured animals as part of its programming. We do not believe in selling life and so do not charge an adoption fee, however, our adoption process is fairly extensive to ensure that the animal's needs can be met by prospective families. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone for any reason.

To down load our application or look through some of our many animals available for adoption feel free to go to www.acfanimals.org

We also take volunteers as well as donations. Mahalo for your support!

He's healthy though he cannot eat dry foods -- they make him vomit. But, he does just fine on quality canned foods. Pickles is a young adult and was rescued as a kitten from a parking lot, having been left in the rain.

PET INSURANCE FOR AFTER THE RAPTURE

"No one knows when that day or hour will come. Even the angels in heaven and the Son don't know. Only the Father knows."
(Matthew 24:36)

"For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
(1 Thessalonians 4:15–17)

Have you ever thought about what will happen to your pets after Jesus comes back to claim the souls of the saved during the Rapture and deliver them to heaven to enjoy ever lasting life? The bible clearly teaches that only those that have accepted Jesus as their savior will enter heaven (John 14:6, Romans 3:23), and we all know that pets do not have the cognitive ability to do this, so what will happen to your beloved pets? Surely without you there, they would be stuck inside your empty house, starving to death with no one to feed them, let them out to potty, or clean their litter box. This is probably not what you envision for your pets after you are gone. This is where I come in.

I am here to offer you pet care service for after the rapture. As an atheist, I will surely still be here on this earth post rapture and would love to look after your pets for a small fee and make sure they are still well taken care of after you and your family have been raptured. You will be able to look down on them from heaven and see them being well cared for by me and living happy, healthy lives. Do not let my atheism scare you! I am a moral and loving pet owner and would never do harm to any animal.

For a small deposit of only $50, you can be assured that your pets will be well cared for from the time that you are raptured until the end of their natural life. They will get adequate amounts of food, water, and shelter as well as plenty of exercise and socialization as I would imagine there will be a lot of pets that will be abandoned by Jesus the pet hater that will need to be cared for.

If interested, please email me for my PayPal address (you can also send me a check if you prefer) so you can assure that your pets will be taken care of after Jesus comes to take your soul to heaven. $50 is only a small price to pay to know that while you are enjoying everlasting bliss, your pets will be cared for until their end days. Thanks and have a great day!

Why would the party of the people require that kind of security?

Denver officials expect to spend more than $18 million on police equipment for the Democratic National Convention — but the purchases apparently won't include high-tech weapons that use sonic waves to incapacitate protesters or goo guns to immobilize them.

That information, provided by the city to the American Civil Liberties Union as part of an agreement to delay a public records lawsuit, marks one of the most detailed looks yet at the super-secret efforts to provide security for the convention, scheduled Aug. 25 to 28.

The ACLU sued Denver in May under the state's public records law after city officials refused to provide documents showing how they were spending millions of dollars on police equipment.

"This budget overview reaffirms to the public our goal to provide the most effective and comprehensive security possible while maintaining an event that is inclusive and enjoyable for all," Mayor John Hickenlooper said in a statement issued by his office.

Denver police officials have been extremely circumspect in answering questions about either their security plans for the convention or their equipment purchases.

This afternoon, for example, Deputy Chief of Operations Michael Battista spoke in only general terms about equipment purchases when he was asked about them by City Councilwoman Jeanne Faatz.

"I'm purchasing equipment that's going to protect my officers," Battista said.

Later, the city disclosed more details about its purchases, which currently are projected to come in at $18.2 million.

They will not include non-lethal weapons that use "slime" or "goo" to immobilize protesters or that use microwaves or sonic waves to induce pain or other discomfort. Some convention watchers had alleged that the city might purchase a weapon that would cause people to defecate.

and why would the ACLU be sueing? I thought the ACLU and the DNC were one in the same????

America! Make your choices known!

You have Democratic Superdelegates assigned to represent the your State’s Democratic Voters best interests at the DNC Convention August 25, 2008. In order to demonstrate a fair Primary Election, the DNC must put Hillary Clinton’s name on the ballot for nomination.

Who do you want to see run as the Democratic Presidential Candidate? The popular vote during the Democratic Primary was so close people are still arguing who had more votes. We know who Clinton was when we voted. But Obama? Would you vote for Clinton or Obama after seeing him in action these last few months? Would you like to see McCain, Clinton or Obama as the President of the United States?

Tell Hillary Clinton about your life today and what you want for your country - http://www.hillpac.com/action/issues/?sc=2498&utm_source=2498&utm_medium=e

Even with manipulation of the popular vote in the Democratic Party Primary, Obama does not have enough delegates to secure the nomination. He is the self-anointed chosen one as the presumptive nominee. There are approximately 800 Superdelegates who will cast their final votes at the Democratic Convention August 25th. They will be making the final decision.

Obama's Health Care Plan

'The Democrats' single most important domestic proposal - universal health insurance - may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details. Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?" That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants - who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally. And they are, by far, the group most in need of health insurance. About 15 million of the remaining uninsured are eligible for Medicaid but haven't signed up - mainly because they haven't gotten sick. When they do, they enroll in Medicaid and we pick up the full tab for their health care relatively cheaply. (About 80 percent of each Medicaid dollar goes to nursing-home care for the elderly, only about 20 percent for the medical needs of the poor.) The rest of the uninsured pool? Virtually all the children are eligible for the State Children's Health Insurance Program. Some aren't enrolled because the parents haven't bothered, but most are eligible. That leaves about 20 million uninsured adults who are US citizens or legal immigrants. There are far better ways to handle their needs than to turn our entire health-care system upside down. Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama's program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes? Covering illegals adds dramatically to the cost of any program - and would encourage more folks to enter America illicitly. Obama's plan will likely have a horrific effect on some local health-care systems. Illegals now get free emergency-room treatment for both ife-threatening and non-life-threatening conditions - as any other American who's entered an ER in an area with lots of illegals recently well knows. (Three-quarters of the illegal-immigrant population is concentrated in five states: California, Illinois, Texas, Florida, and New York.) But now they'd be eligible for the entire range of medical services, all free of charge. That would trigger severe rationing: bureaucrats deciding who gets to see an oncologist, who can have an MRI, who needs what prescriptions, and even who can have bypass surgery and who'd die for lack of it. These decisions would be made not on the basis of legal status but on the brutal facts of triage: Treat the 37-year-old illegal with his whole life to live before you spend scarce resources on an overweight, diabetic, 80-year-old American citizen with high blood pressure who smokes and paid taxes his whole life. John McCain hasn't raised this issue, perhaps for fear of offending the Latino vote. But polling suggests the case against rationing of health care would be as persuasive to Hispanic-American citizens as it is to the rest of us. Nobody wants to die waiting in line - especially not behind someone who snuck in ahead of us. John McCain but, more so the people of this country need to hit the Obama plan for treating illegal immigrants to free, federally subsidized health insurance - and hit it hard...

Iraq Update - Things That Make A Difference

Top Ten USAID Strategic Accomplishments in Iraq

1. Improving Primary Health Care: USAID is helping strengthen essential primary health care services throughout Iraq. In 2005 alone, USAID-supported emergency campaigns immunized 98 percent of Iraqi children between 1-5 years old (3.62 million) against measles, mumps, and rubella,
Also in 2005, USAID immunized 97 percent of Iraqi children under five (4.56 million) against polio.
In all, USAID partners have trained more than 2,500 primary health care workers to expand access to essential primary health care services.

2. Expanding Access to Electricity: In 2002, Baghdad had access to electricity 24 hours a day; the rest of Iraq was limited to 3-6 hours. Currently, all 18 governorates receive nearly 14 hours of electricity daily, an incredible improvement for a country emerging from decades of conflict and little investment.
USAID efforts have added 1,400 megawatts (MW) of generating capacity to the national electrical grid, expanding access to 4.2 million Iraqis throughout most of Iraq.

3. Providing Potable Water: Many parts of Iraq had no access to or provision of clean potable water. Indeed many of Iraq's waterways were contaminated with refuse and sewage. Over 4 million Iraqis who had no clean drinking water in 2002 now have safe, potable water piped to their homes following USAID efforts to refurbish water treatment plants in 15 cities.
USAID is also providing plant-level operations and maintenance (O&M) training at major water and wastewater plants nationwide to ensure that these plants remain functioning.

4. Restoring Sewage Systems: Before 2003, Iraq's cities suffered from inadequate sewage systems; backed up sewage created pools in neighborhoods or emptied directly into nearby rivers. Today, USAID's rehabilitated sewage treatment plants throughout Iraq process a total of 339.7 million gallons daily.
These plants alone provide 7.2 million urban Iraqis - over a quarter of the national population - access to functioning, waterborne sewage, greatly improving sanitation and contributing to a decrease in waterborne disease.

5. Improving Local Governance and Community Development: Iraqi democracy must prove itself through service delivery and community-based solutions to local problems. With USAID assistance, representative provincial and municipal governments are more capable of delivering essential services to their constituents.
Countrywide, more than 670 community action groups focused on civic education, women's advocacy, and anti-corruption have been supported by USAID.
Working through local NGOs, USAID has implemented 4,672 quick impact projects throughout Iraq, providing short-term employment and restoration of basic services.

6. Connecting Iraq to the Global Economy: The private sector is the engine for sustainable job creation and economic growth. To help guide policy reform, USAID's Investor Roadmap analyzes constraints to investment. Iraq's Investment Promotion Agency was recently established with USAID assistance, and will serve as a resource to international investors.
USAID worked with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to develop a Competitiveness Study, helping integrate efforts to create a robust private sector that fosters job creation.
USAID programs assist Iraq's MoF, Central Organization for Statistics and Information Technology (COSIT), and Iraq's Central Bank in meeting their International Monetary Fund (IMF) requirements. This $19 million technical assistance effort is expected to return to Iraq $480 million in the IMF Standby Agreement by December 2005 as well as debt forgiveness of $27 billion from the Paris Club by March 2006.
Working with the MoF, USAID introduced the new dinar currency to promote national unity and a sound functioning monetary policy. Currently, 4.62 trillon new Iraqi dinars are in circulation in Iraq.

7. Expanding Political Inclusion and Expression: USAID assistance has helped prepare Iraq for two national elections, numerous provincial and municipal elections, and the Constitutional Referendum of October 15. In preparation for the January 2005 election, USAID helped the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq (IECI) establish a voter registration system, and worked with the UN on improving balloting procedures.
USAID-supported NGOs distributed election materials, helped televise debates, and led over 22,000 town meetings to educate Iraqi voters.
USAID and a local NGO trained over 8,000 election monitors.
Current efforts are preparing 15,000 elections monitors for the December 15, 2005 elections.

8. Supporting the New Iraqi Constitution: The January 2005 Interim Government election put into place a National Assembly to frame a constitution emphasizing democracy and the rule of law. USAID partners provided constitutional specialists to the Drafting Committee while input from over 111,000 national surveys kept the Committee in touch with national sentiment.
The Iraqi Women's National Coalition, supported by USAID, developed a 10-point statement adopted in the constitution.
A USAID-supported NGO televised debates and distributed information. Nearly 9,500 monitors, trained by USAID partners, helped ensure a successful constitutional referendum.

9. Transforming Primary Education: USAID assistance has helped Iraq move away from rote learning methodology in decrepit, unsanitary classrooms to interactive learning in rehabilitated buildings. Since 2003, USAID has rehabilitated nearly 3,000 schools.
Over 20 million new textbooks have been supplied by USAID (8.6 million) and UNESCO (12 million).
By 2006, more than 133,000 primary school teachers - a third of Iraq's educators in all - will have received training and technical assistance.
Already, the most recent primary school enrollment numbers show a 19 percent increase from pre-war levels.

10. Restoring Excellence in Higher Education: The USAID Higher Education and Development (HEAD) Program brings together five American and 10 Iraqi universities to help reestablish academic excellence in Iraq's higher education system.
Since January 2004, more than 1,500 Iraqi faculty and students have participated in workshops, trainings, conferences, and courses in Iraq, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
University facilities -libraries, computer and science laboratories, lecture halls, and buildings - have been rehabilitated at colleges throughout the country.
A mini-grant program supports new, innovative research throughout the country. In addition, books and electronic resources have been provided to university libraries.
The U.S. Agency for International Development has provided economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide for more than 40 years. For more information on USAID's Iraq program, please visit www.usaid.gov/iraq.
Notice how the resident Democrutch has resorted back to his basic racist beliefs in his smear campaign against McCain, calling him "racist" etc and making racist statements that are full of white, liberal ignorance.

The small mind of a racist Democrook who's party uses minorities to further their socialist needs.

Right here on Hawaii (no surprise there).

Claiming to be from the 'correct side' but really from the 'nut side'.

Why is it that the Demobitches always accuse others of using their own tactics?

I'm a stay at home mother who watches children of any ages at any times. I know how hard it is to find quality childcare, so I guarantee to provide a safe and fun environment for your child.
I posess a world of patience, and am able to deal with any type of behavior. I am very flexible with my availability, whether it be full time, part time, to run errands, last minute, emergencies, etc...I have a very clean pet free, smoke free home with central ac, tons of arts and crafts, activites, toys, socialization with other children, and love to share with your children.
I am available most days and nights, and weekend sitting also. Usually I charge $25 flat fee per day, but rates are always negotiable. If only for a few hours, then a per hour fee can be discussed. I know it's expensive for quality, but I don't mind helping out those moms who need a helping hand. If more than 1 child, I don't charge much more.
Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Free to a good home

2 female dogs (sisters), Approximately 2-1/2 to 3 years old

Shadow: Brown with white chest, Mixed – Sharpei, Ridgeback
Shadow has not been spayed yet. At the time of the surgery, she started her heat cycle and I never followed up with the Vet on the surgery.

Petey: White with black spots, Mixed – Sparpei Dalmatian, Ridgeback
Petey has been spayed. At this time she has a slight skin condition around her lower back/tail area. I took her to the vet and the vet, the diagnosis from the vet is that it is an irritation to the skin due to laying in the dirt. I believe that if the environment changes the skin irritation will clear up.

I will give you…
Whatever food they have left
The plastic food container (that holds a 52 lbs. Bag of dog food)
Their bowls (Food and Water)
All paperwork (C&C of Honolulu Animal Registration from previous owner, any vet records that they have)
Their leashes
Whatever toys that they have

I would like to place both these dogs together, My intention when adopting these sisters was to be more active with them. I took on both of them so that while everyone in the house was at work during the day they would be able to keep each other company.
My intention is to place them together, but at this point in the ultimatum that I was given, I am willing to have them adopted separately. But if you can take them together, it would be great. They’ve only known each other. They interact with our neighbor’s dogs all the time so they are sociable with other dogs.

Unfortunately my life is just too busy and I no longer have time to care for them. I adopted them when they were about a year old. They are outside dogs so they have not been house trained. They get along great with each other.
Both dogs are micro-chipped but I never transferred the ownership to my name from the previous owner.

They’ve had some obedience training, when I first got them I kept up with the daily exercises but that faded away with the busy schedule. They do know how to walk on a leash and sit on command.

If you feel you have enough time for two very lovable very affectionate dogs please contact me.

I will not let these dogs go to any hunters.

The picture is from when I first got them. They are a little bigger now.

Usually I'll take serious inquiries, but at this point, they have until Thursday July 24th before my father takes them to the Humane Society, so please, this is their last chance. I'm not sure craigslist will let me allow me to post another posting between now and then.

This is their last chance. Please help me re-home them.

A John McCain-Type Republican Party Mainstay (Crime On The Mind Of Republicans)

 Stupid Republican Criminals

I am well aware that the title of this post contains a double redundancy. It is also one of those rare phrases that can be written in any order and retain the same meaning. However, the phrase has a special meaning today, as Josh Marshall has drawn the world's attention to the guy who must claim the title of being the world's Stupidest Republican criminal. The person who has claimed that dubious distinction, the person who has beat out some world class competition, is one Todd Shriber, the now former (since Josh's post?) Director of Communications for Congressman Denny Rehberg, a Montana Republican (what else?).

It seems Todd didn't do too well at his alma mater (Texas Christian University). It occurred to him that it might be a good idea to get a retroactive increase in his grades so he went to a computer geek website named attrition.org for some assistance. In his own words:

OK here it is: I need an adjustment to my college GPA.
Is this an absurd request?

He was assured that it was not, and the fun began.

The entire email exchange between Todd and his tormentors is reproduced here . They played him like a fiddle, warning him every step of the way that what he was asking was criminal and that they could all end up in jail. (Had the hackers actually had any intention of doing what he wanted).

Now, you're probably thinking, yes, that's pretty stupid, putting yourself in the power of a complete stranger. But that's not the half of it. Here's is part of the email exchange (non squirrel/pigeon stuff redacted, to improve the flow):

Shriber: What would you or anyone else need from me to see if you could it?

Hacker: For starters, college name, full name, and whatever number they track you by. Student ID or SS# or whatever else.

And, are there pigeons on campus?

Shriber: I can supply all that. Forgive what I assume is dumb question, but what are pigeons? I know you're not talking about the bird.

Hacker: Actually I am.

Shriber: Wow, I feel dumb now. I honestly cannot rember if there were pigeons on campus or not. A lot of crazy squirrels, but I can't remember pigeons. Just for my own edification, why do you need to know that? I'll find out for you.

Hacker: Hey, squirrels work fine. First, let's be clear. You are soliciting me to break the law and hack into a computer across state lines. That is a federal offense and multiple felonies. Obviously I can't trust anyone and everyone that mails such a request, you might be an FBI agent, right?

So, I need three things to make this happen:

1. A picture of a squirrel or pigeon on your campus. One close-up, one with background that shows buildings, a sign, or something to indicate you are standing on the campus.

Shriber: OK. The pictures might take me a little while as I've been out of school for a few years and I don't live in that state anymore.

Hacker: What state do you live in, and what college is it? The picture can still work wherever you are. Main thing is to prove to a degree who you are, that you can do something unique and quickly, etc.

Shriber: I don't live near the college anymore, I'm 1,000 miles away. Is there some other sign of trust I can extend to you or should I wait a few weeks and travel to my school and get these pictures?

Hacker: A picture of a squirrel or pigeon near where you live is fine. One close up, one from the distance enough so there are buildings or anything to help identify the location of where the pic was taken from.

And yes, he did go out and take a picture of a squirrel and sent it to the hacker. And the above is only the start of the correspondence about squirrel pictures. It goes on and on. By the way, the hacker apparently had no idea who Todd was. You almost feel sorry for the guy. Here's the last email they sent him:

todd... no more.. omfg we are SO busted.. fuck fuck fuck FUCK FUCK everything was PERFECT until their night noc ran a reverse udp traceroute back to one of the hosts we had set up after that, straight DOWNHILL. i've already been called twice by my isp asking about unusual activity, some other shit about access attempts to a federally monitored system they have everything in logs including the rot-26 stuff that finally got me access all goes back to your login sorry i really fucked up BAD

theyre prob gonna end up calling you since they have your info just duck and run if you can, i'm going deep underground if they ask about me or attrition we don't know each other you know youre just as guilty and liable so when they come knocking dont say anything without a lawyer and when you ask them to put the gun down say it nice because that shit isnt fun

man dont even visit attrition.org again theyre trying to check web logs one last email should be ok but we're so fucked sorry

Poor Todd. That must have cost him a heap of sleepless nights.

To conclude, there may be Republicans stupider than Todd, and there may be Republicans more criminal than Todd, but I submit that Todd is the Stupidest Republican Criminal of them all.
Since we rely on our reputations and quality of service for referrals and repeat business, we sit down and make sure we can provide you what you need for your party. Just ask what services we can provide and offer before you decide. Our company is one of the best because you will meet with us to go over your plans prior to your event at any location, preferably at the location of the venue. We have many past customer references you can call to ask about their experience with our service.
