Prepares quarterly reports for Audit Committee, Risk Council and the Board of Directors on the status of the program.  Develops annual budget for corporate compliance efforts with the Chief Compliance Officer.  Indirectly manages the compliance efforts of compliance officers in the business lines to insure appropriate resources are directed to the credit compliance program in the business units.

Plans, develops, oversees, and conducts compliance risk assessments, quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring processes and company-wide compliance training covering all high risk lending activities.  Training may be provided live, via Internet-based channels, or web sessions.

<b>Communication and Reporting</b>

Analyzes, summarizes and communicates current regulatory and organizational compliance developments to division and department managers.  Coordinates efforts to ensure policies, procedures, forms and training meet all new and amended requirements and deadlines. Analyzes and communicates compliance requirements for new or revised products, services, systems and subsidiaries to division and department management. Consults with legal counsel, regulatory agencies, vendors and compliance organizations, as needed.

<b>Audit</b>

Supports Bank of Hawaii's efforts on all corporate compliance audits and Federal Reserve Bank compliance examinations, including advance preparation, coordination of all information between bank departments and examiners during the audit/exam, follow up on findings and development of written responses.

<b>Qualifications</b>

The qualified applicant for the Senior Credit Compliance Officer position meets the following basic requirements:<br>
 
Bachelors degree, preferably in business or related area, or equivalent business experience<br>

Ten or more years of extensive working experience in banking/audit /regulatory compliance<br>

At least one year supervisory/leadership/management experience<br>

Working knowledge of banking laws and regulations and complex database systems<br>

Personal computer skills must include proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows and network environments<br>

Financial Management
<br>

Performs Net Present Value and financial modeling to demonstrate the economic contribution of investments in online banking services, including price sensitivity, revenue forecasting, gross margin, contribution margin, break-even analysis and other metrics.  This applies to current and new products & services under financial evaluation.  Manages customer, product, and market data collection and analysis to manage the banking business through online systems.  Reviews, analyzes, and presents financial models, pro formas, and financial management presentations

Operational Management
<br>

Provides system support with direct oversight over systems upgrades and conversions or enhancements.  Validates the integrity of system changes and communicates with end-users. Works closely with service providers to implement new product and improve existing products to meet Bank of Hawaii business objectives and strategies.  Must be effective at obtaining the support of internal groups such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Protection, Support and Business Units to ensure the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the online banking systems.  Ensures the compliance of products to legal, regulatory and internal standards. Also responsible for working effectively with different stakeholders to ensure timely and successful implementation of initiatives.  Oversees initiatives to streamline processes and reduce associated product costs.

Channel Sales Management
<br>
Develops and implements plans to acquire new customers online through the online account creation (OAC) process and adoption of online banking services in a competitive marketplace, with a focus on overall online Sales management, e.g., management of a Sales funnel and Enrollment funnel.  Provides product training to a wide group of constituencies.  Requires occasional inter-island travel.  Proactively gathers and maintains market intelligence on current and pending competitive offerings from both Bank and non-Bank competitors to develop action plans to improve the Bank's competitive position.

Vendor Management
<br>
Strictly manages vendor performance, contracts, expenses, and the vendor product road map.  Aligns and influences vendor product development with Bank of Hawaii's Internet & mobile strategy.  Works closely with all vendors, including on-going benchmarking of vendors' client banks to improve processes and understand how to position Bank of Hawaii in the marketplace as a leader. Ability to provide own ground transportation, travel by air and possesses a valid driver's license. Must be capable of out-of-state travel.  Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Personnel Management

Responsible for the management of all Finance and Operations staff in the Internet Department including staffing and scheduling, compensation, performance management, training and development.  Goal is to attract, retain and motivate the team to achieve management business objectives and maintain a favorable employee relations climate.  Responsible for the timely and effective management of Human Resources forms and documents relevant to immediate staff.

The qualified applicant for the Finance and Operations Manager position meets the following basic qualifications:

Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
<br>
<br>
Minimum 8-10 years related work experience in Financial Management and Operations. Demonstrated ability to develop and present Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Break-even Analyses, and other Return-on-Investment methods to lead business planning efforts based on financial review. 
<br>
<br>
Experience developing financial analyses and controls.
<br>
<br>
Demonstrated ability to produce financial and operations reports, perform analysis, and model financial and operational impact based on different scenarios to achieve business objectives. 
<br>
<br>
Experience managing complex and multiple projects, vendors, and staff and directing operational implementation and doing field work in project implementation with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets. 
<br>
<br>
Experience working in a sales environment that uses sales funnel tracking to manage efforts and competitive intelligence gathering to develop competitive action plans.

Ability to develop with minimal direction and implement operational plans within demanding deadlines.

Demonstrated communication, presentation, inter-personal and analytic skills.

Ability to present quantitative information in a manner understandable to a wide audience.

This position is responsible for overseeing overall operations of the store. Duties include purchasing, merchandising, inventory controls, pricing, profitability, producing daily sales reports, store layout and design, and facility maintenance. <br>

Provides compliance guidance for implementation of changes to consumer products and services required as a result of 1) new or amended laws and regulations, 2) product changes, or 3) system conversions.  Review and rewrite related change of terms, bank forms, documents and brochures for compliance with laws and regulations.

Product Management<br>
Develops and manages a monitoring system for Consumer Lending and for selected products within targeted business units throughout the bank.  Ensure that monitoring systems are in place, validated and corrective action is completed, if appropriate.  May occasionally require travel by air and/or work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Department Audit<br>
Coordinates and compiles audit responses for internal, external, and other regulatory audit findings for Consumer Lending. Regulatory Training<br>
Assists in planning and conducting consumer credit regulatory compliance training for bank personnel/branches/departments. The qualified applicant for the Compliance Analyst position meets the following basic qualifications:<br>
Post high school education<br>
1-3 years experience in regulatory compliance of banking laws and regulations is preferred<br>

Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. <br>
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts. <br>
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge. <br>
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships. <br>
Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. <br>
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up. <br>
Identify and resolve client concerns. <br>
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals. <br>
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. <br>
Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. <br>
