Aloha,
Project Hawai'i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers and solely supported by public donations. Our agency has just finished a month long summer camp for our homeless keiki and now we are trying to finish securing all their back to school supplies and educational supportive needs. We are seeking volunteers to help our upcoming event be a complete success! Only a few weeks away we have lots of work to be done!!

We are seeking volunteers who enjoy working with the public, making phone calls, sending emails and other requests for donations and sponsorships. This can include just your own circle of contacts, friends, etc.
Our goal is to be able to raise enough funds for the homeless children back to school needs for their graduation from our charity event on Sept. 7th in Hilo and 27th in Waikoloa
Here are ideas of what we need for the event to be successful:
1. PRIZES:
Grand Prize (The Trip to Vegas) or the sponsoring company can donate towards the purchase
Second Prize: (A getaway hotel/condo stay, meal certificate, entertainment, etc)
Third-Tenth place can be a variety of items, gift certificates, services, entertainment, etc.

DOOR PRIZES:
Anything is great, from lunch certificates, prizes to share your companies products, typically between $10.-$15.00 values

2. SILENT AUCTION ITEMS:
Items that can be placed in the auction. This is a perfect way to introduce a product or service and hopefully find new loyal customers.

3. FOOD/REFRESHMENT donations, sponsorships, or people who would like to bring us pupu platters, etc.

4. Monetary sponsorships to help cover the cost of the room, equipment, etc

Every donation makes a difference. If you are able to help with any of the above, please let us know. Again I have a few weeks to make this a success and get our keiki off to the right start to their new future. These children worked hard all summer learning, exploring and growing with a better self image and knowledge that will help them escape the cycle of poverty.
