THE FIRST DRAWING IS OF WILLIAM F. QUINN, THE FIRST GOVERNER OF HAWAII SINCE STATEHOOD. HE WAS ALSO THE PRESIDENT OF DOLE FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
THE SECOND DRAWING IS OF HIS WIFE, NANCY.
I BELIEVE THESE WERE COMPLETED IN THE 50'S. I HAVE NOT YET DETERMINED THE ARTIST (THERE IS A SIGNATURE), BUT THE WORK IS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY.
I AM TAKING A LIST OF OFFERS OVER $1000 EACH.

This stained glass artwork was a commission piece done about 1989. The "vertical bar" which shows in the photo is not in the stained glass: it is the cross-bar of the window which is behind the stained glass piece. The colors are amazing and, of course, look very different at different times of the day in different lighting, showing the beach sand, the ocean, the waves, the trees at the horizon, and the sky, some of which become amazingly iridescent at times. The piece is intact, in good shape, and in addition to the piece's intrinsic metal frame, it comes framed with a 1 1/2" wood frame. It is 26 1/4" x 17 1/2" without wood frame, 29" x 20" in the wood frame.
