kahalui harbor is Da Kine. Look for the pukas in the flat bottom. The jacks are fun but can get dangerous. Hana bay always choice. Little beach has some caves with a few ready to pick. Near the lighthouse is some good caves. Molokai is choice just beyond the surf in most spots. North shore Maui hookipa is looking good this year and Lanai West shore side had some. Go claim them before Lobster Man gets them. Watch out for night critters. Be sure to finger all the 7-11 crabs you see. That are good eats. Best spot to see Lobsters is in the Grand Wailea pond.

So we are a middle age late 30's/early 40's couple who are in shape and will be honeymooning in Hawaii for 19 days in January/February of 2009. We are looking for suggestions on activities and places to go during our visit.

Some of the things we plan to do are snorkeling, deep sea fishing, visit Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Cultural Center.

We have 6 days on Oahu, 7 on Kauai, and 6 on the big island

We do the Friday night "Beer Can Races"

NO SAILING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. We'll show you the ropes. Finding the right people is far more important than finding people that already know everything.

Every week is different. Sometimes there's no wind and we jump off to swim faster than the boats in the race, some times there are 30 knot winds, the boat is sideways and we're waves over the bow. Scary for some people, exhilarating for me and the other people we sail with. I get amped up while I'm riding my motorcycle toward the boat if I can feel the wind and see the palm trees moving because I know it is going to be a bare knuckled ride. Safety is our main priority. Working as a team allows that to happen. Having Fun is our second priority, and winning the race is third. Our Boat is most efficient with 12 people that know what they are doing. We've sailed with in between 5 and 25 people . Looking for Young and Athletic crew that are looking to learn how to race, and can commit to sailing most every friday from 5:00 to 7:30. After we sail, we watch the fireworks, and usually BBQ on the boat or go to the Yacht Club.

I would like to see if there's any interest out there in a sailing canoe consortium such that buying and owning is not such a burden and the boats get a lot of use. Idealy, a group of people who tend to have a distain for gas-powered boats in the Bay, love the ocean, love the Hawaiian traditions...and look for like-minded people.

If there's enough interest, it would also be great if we could get more than just 1 or 2 boats. Sunday Racing?? In that case, a formal group would likely require binding agreements, committment, resources (land), etc. So serious inquiries appreciated. Ask your friends to.

Hi,

I'm looking for easy going, intelligent people that would like to go swimming, hiking, or walking. I have a pretty flexible schedule aside from work ~(8-5 M-F); and am more than capable of doing things by myself; but would like to team up with someone that wants to do activities together for mutual motivation, ideally several times a week. Generally I go swimming about once a week.. I would like to get that number up to 3+ times a week..

I've done many of the town-area trails, and usually prefer to go swimming at Sans Souci or off Diamond Head, anywhere with enough current/swells to make it 'interesting'. I'm not in the best shape right but am mentally determined and a good swimmer (I mostly lack stamina). If you'd like to go walking the best for me is in the evenings (any night) around Makiki (I live near Kewalo & Wilder); but I may be persuaded to try mornings also. Swimming is generally a weekend or afternoon/evening activity for me.

Male/female/age/gender/whatever does not matter. Couple or small group would be fine also. Please just be intelligent, easy going, and upbeat and motivated. I am not interested in anything more and this is not some lame pickup attempt. I am a male professional in my mid 20s. I live in town and do own a car; and would prefer someone in town as I don't really see driving up to north shore/etc sustainable.

Alternatively if anyone knows any kind of water polo team that would take a beginner I'm interested in that also. I've never played but would like to.
